Ricardo Colon / Biblical Artist

        Hi, my name is Ricardo Colon and I started painting back when I was 10 years old in the streets of New York City. Went to the School of Art and design high school in Manhattan New York. Got involved with the wrong crowd. My paintings and murals took on a negative Flow. I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ back in the year of 1983. There was a time in my life where I just did not want to paint anymore. So I hid behind a welding mask hoping to find a new me and became a Journeyman welder carpenter, still got drunk, still used drugs. But then God pulled me out of that mess establish my going put a new song in my heart and I never went back. 30 years now serving the Lord. Now I serve him as an elder in my church El Shaddai Bethlehem ministries in Bethlehem PA.  I am a prophetic artist (Took me a long time to embrace this title, I'm simply a lover of God, Jesus Christ). Now I paint live in worship services and concerts. Sometimes I have no idea what God is going to show me, but the moment I put my brush on the canvas I see a vision of what God wants me to paint.

 

          Sometimes I could be in a worship service and start to sketch or paint and the Lord shows me whom to give the painting too. Or sometimes my paintings go right along with the message in the service. He just blows my mind each and every time truly amazing. I believe that God is going to do some extraordinary things in the visual arts. People will get healed, God will use art to speak volumes to people. We know that dance, drama, song, and music are truly amazing when its anointed. In these last days, God is going to raise up anointed visual artists that will affect the very fabric of all walks of life. There is a silent dialogue between you and a painting that goes on quietly in your soul/your spirit. There are words that cannot be expressed or uttered in our times of supplication. But the spirit who searches our hearts and knows the mind of God is able to interpret our deepest desires. You can say the same thing with art, as you are creating the Holy Spirit is there guiding your hand and expressing on canvas what the Spirit is saying. All the glory goes to my father in heaven who saved me from a horrible pit. Now I breathe because he breathed life into me there is no other place I'd rather be than to be in his presence, God bless you all.
